Bridge Contract Policy

This DASN (AP) memo provides ASN RD&A policy intended to reduce the reliance on bridge contracts. The policy establishes a process that requires acquisition teams to obtain approval and authorization to award a bridge contact from the Head of the Contracting Activity, Echelon II Chief of the Contracting Office (CCO) or Activity CCO, depending on dollar threshold. The bridge contract approval authorization is required prior to requesting a justification and approval (J&A). Quarterly reporting of approval authorizations is required.

This policy is effective November 15, 2012.
