Naval Clemency and Parole Board (NC&PB)
To review submitted case files of eligible Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard offenders for clemency, parole and mandatory supervised release (MSR). To deny, grant or recommend clemency and/or parole to the Secretary of the Navy as appropriate. The Board makes clemency, parole and MSR determinations consistent with the needs of public safety and the individual offender. The Board coordinates with the Navy and Marine Corps correctional facilities, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the United States Parole Commission to oversee and monitor the progress and conduct of Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
The NC&PB maintains liaison with Department of Defense Correctional Activities, Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Parole Commission, and other federal, state and local criminal justice organizations. The NC&PB also provides oversight of corrections to include treatment programs and supports commanders in their custody, correctional treatment, and public safety responsibilities. NC&PB staff provides courteous support to both victims and witnesses of crime, their families, and the offender’s family and representatives.
