The Midwest Tech Bridge encompasses a vibrant innovation ecosystem already aligned to Navy and Marine Corps interests. Located on the world's third largest Naval installation in Crane, Indiana, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC Crane) anchors the Midwest Tech Bridge through broad collaborative partnerships in the Command's mission sets of Strategic Missions, Electronic Warfare, and Expeditionary Warfare that are serving to accelerate the development and transition of technology to Department of Defense (DoD) end users. The Midwest Tech Bridge resides at the crossroads of not only Navy and Marine Corps mission sets, but connects the nearby Air Force and Army Research Laboratories as well. The Indiana Innovation Institute (IN3) serves as our Partnership Intermediary Agreement for this effort, and we look forward to building the tech bridge to gain broader access and leverage efforts across the region.

Our Midwest Tech Bridge will soon identify off-base facility space for collaborative workshops and problem-solving events, not only immediately outside the Crane gate, but nearby in Bloomington, Indiana as well. Two physical locations will provide maximum geographical reach and access to our diverse partners across the region. Extensive academic collaboration already occurs within the state with our top tier research and training institutions such as Indiana University (Bloomington), Ivy Tech (Bloomington), Purdue University (West Lafayette), University of Notre Dame (South Bend) and the University of Southern Indiana (Evansville).

We look forward to the Midwest Tech Bridge continuing the great work of our region's Innovation Ecosystem, and appreciate the support of our local, state, and federal government teams as well as our industrial base partners on the journey ahead!
